My boyfriend of 14 months just lost his older brother to suicide 12 months ago,?

although he has many of his brothers treasured items,his most important one to him was his fishing pole. (they are big into fishing,took trips to canada and what not.) This past weekend my boyfriend broke the fishing pole that his brother had given to him as a gift previous years. The pole is way beyond repair and my boyfriend cried for hours when it happened because it was a gift to him,it was his favorite.and nothing is more special to him. So your probably reading this thinking "wow shes writing about how her boyfriend broke his favorite fishing pole,really??!" but i want to make something out of the fishing pole.my bf doesn't know i have the remaining pieces and i want to surprise him with something really special and meaning-full.although i am having a terrible time trying to figure out what can be made with a broken fishing pole.SO ALL YOU CRAFTY PEOPLE OUT THERE:) please help me out in giving my mourning boyfriend something really cool to be reminded with not only by his brother,but all the wonderful memories they had doing what they love best.fishing.:)thank you for helping.
