well, next year is my senior year, this year i went through my almost my entire physics book ( all but like 4 out of 20) so my school is teaching us a lot. but in my brit lit class we only read like 2 stories out of the book, and our teacher went out of her way to get better stories for us to read that weren't the ones we had to read. but after next year, ill be just fine if they make school year round

How about the beginning of my story?

I like the concept, but it could be written better. There are quite a few grammar errors, for one thing. Also, it's not a good idea to jump right into the action like this. If I were you, I'd start the story before the kidnapping took place, to give your character a little more background. Or, better yet, start the story after your character has already been kidnapped, then have him/her start from the beginning and tell some things about them self and their background, and then have them go into what happened.

I think it's appropriate and I really like it, well done :) It's very emotive and imaginative, and it's well written. However, just a personal opinion. I don't think the opening line "I remember it quite vividly" really captures the readers attention. It doesn't give me the impression that she can actually remember what happened. Could you possibly use a different word instead of "quite", or maybe skip the word "quite" altogether, such as "I remember it vividly; rising levels of water crushing my fragile body..." It's only a minor suggestion though.

How to wean baby mourning doves/ house finches.?

Man! I understand the dove. I had one that we knew was not going to live long and he never stopped hand feeding. That wasn't exactly his fault or mine. He really would never eat on his own. I hand fed him for 5 months. Basically you just have to cut down the feedings to one late in the evening and force them to eat seeds. Sometimes changing their location will help with that. I almost always sold my handfed babies when they were down to one meal a day and often they would stop that meal when they went home with their new owners.

I seriously cannot focus. I am going to college online. When I sit to do some work, I get really bored trying to read the chapter, cannot focus for sh-t. Then - I end up turning the tv on to watch while I work (which obviously is dumb). Or I will be working, reading information on the internet then click to Facebook, and start surfing - or I'll even look up some dumb sh-t. There are just times I cannot focus.... any foods i can eat or avoid to help me focus? besides coffee and sugary foods (i know to avoid them).

I've had this problem plenty of times, so don't believe there's an easy fix. However, I find what helps is skipping ahead in the plot to write a part that you look forward to, a part you already have figured out and is interesting enough that you really really want to write it. You'll find that the words will flow easier then. You can connect the parts later when you feel more like writing. I gave this answer to someone about a week ago and they found it extremely helpful. Worked for them and for me, so I hope it does for you too!

Ex girlfriend in love with dead friend still?

I dated this girl for a short time. We broke up from something completely unrelated (not a fight or bad) to decide to be friends for a little bit. She still liked me, and I still liked her. I'm not going to share details. Anyway I was the first guy she was more intimate with. Her previous boyfriend felt more like a friend to her. A few months later she's really upset. She tells me she finally looked up a friend's name in an obituary. A friend who had a huge crush on her I guess and she had known for a long time. (probably 7+ years) She's 21 now. He had gotten brain cancer, and the emails they exchanged had stopped coming in for a couple years, so she knew he was probably dead, but didn't have the guts to look up his name. So when she did, she was saying she'll never be able to love anyone and she wants to be with him, and she wished she could have told him she loved him back. (which I guess she never did) It makes me question the whole thing, although it's not good to confront her. Because if she had really liked him back at that time, wouldn't she have said it? Is it guilt and the loss of a friend? Or did she truly love him that whole time and just never said it? I've only known her for a year, so I can't compare with all the memories they probably had. She pretends she's okay around everyone, but she's the shell of her former self. She's uncaring and monotone acting 95% of the time. I rarely see her excited or happy anymore. It's been about 4 months since the obituary thing. Although she works and goes to school, I feel as though she's just going through the motions. I love her and I care about her. I want to see her happy. I suggested she look into support groups or maybe some counseling targeted towards grief coping. I know she's not handling this in a very unhealthy way. I can understand not wanting to take other people's advice who care, because I used to be the same way. The only response I get from this is 'Therapy can't bring him back. It can't make me not sad'. Because she's stuck on 'I can't be happy if he's not alive'. Although before the orbituary thing, she was a different person. Happy, caring, very likeable. Perhaps she was pushing off mourning. I myself have gone through a situation where there's something that depresses me and I can't change, nor anyone else. And I've had to cope. At first I didn't want to live anymore for a long time. I had decided that if that thing couldn't be changed, I wouldn't be happy. And no one could help me. But after living more, and going through counseling, finding happiness in other things, I finally can say I'm happy to be alive, and I want to live my life to it's proper end. I just wonder what I'm supposed to do for her. Can someone heal on their own, without therapy, and only support of 1 person? I can't make her do anything, and I can't change a person. First I'd say your levels are a little low, I'd recommend at least level 40 for the Mindflayer. As for tactics, save your quickening for the last 15% of its HP, set up priority gambits with chronos tears to tackle stop and/or equip power armlets. Also try and keep your party spread out so his main attack doesn't hit them all. Use physical attacks until it gets down to 20% HP then after it has restored itself use dispel to remove its status boosts, keep pummeling away and then finish with a quickening chain.

So here's the story, a friend was sick and didn't read a passage for an english test we had, and I told him what chapters the test was on.... after he took the test, he told the teacher that I helped him "cheat" to achieve a higher score on the test. I'm sorry but try to look at this objectively and see if you see a pattern of him always having to be right or in control or the center of attention. These are all red flags that you are married to a man who has no empathy and no ability to feel compassion. If he does this repeatedly and you do see a pattern, I would seriously consider separation to clear your head and decide if this is a marriage with a rosy future. Be strong!

good mourning guys, last night i was of course trying to delete one file off my sd card and some how deleted all... they are avchd files from my 8gb sandisk sd card recorded from my sony hdr-cx110... so ive lock the sd card haven't recorded anything it since the accident, ive downloaded a couple of program through some google searches and all the ones i used aren't recovering what i need, these programs are only recovering the avchd files that were recorded in STANDARD DEFINITION, they don't recover the files i recorded in HI DEF, which are the only ones i desperately need, any help would be much appreciated thank you

We had to put my cat down this morning...?

she was only 14 years old and I've had her pretty much my entire life. We found her in our yard when I was 4. She was my first pet. She was sick for about a week and we took her to the vet and they found out her liver and kidneys were bad. There was nothing the vets could do, so we had them put her down this morning. I'm so sad and I can't see myself feeling any better anytime soon. I can't stop crying and I just want to hold her one more time. I keep looking around where she used to lay and wishing she was still there, all cuddled up on her favorite stool. I didn't even get to say goodbye to her. I just don't know what to do because my dad thinks I'm overreacting and that I should be over it already. But it just happened this morning! How can I already be over it?! We had plans to go over to my aunts house this evening, but with all that's happened I wasn't up for it and he got so upset with me. But I can't help the way I feel....I just wanted to be alone and to mourn...Does he have a right to be angry with me!? I don't think he does....

I feel like I should cry...but I can't?

My aunt died yesterday...and she was one of the best people I knew. She helped raise me and although we had a few minor arguments, we still were always close. I need advice on how to deal with my family fued!?

ok so let me start by laying out my family history i have one half sister from my mom's side (Rose) and one half sister from my dad's side (Michelle) , then one full brother and im the youngest. Also my sister Rose and I live in Louisiana and my brother, dad and Michelle live in Florida. So with that information aside, about a year ago my mom passed away and my dad started dating this woman six months after! This lady went to high school with my mom and at first she seemed alright, but my sister Rose and i were shocked that my dad was moving on so quickly especially since we were still mourning our mom. Michelle on the other hand was more supportive of my dad (For the record before my mom passed i was close to both my sisters) Once it was clear they started dating my sister michelle became "buddy buddy" with this lady and started disrespecting my sister rose and I. And of course there became a verbal argument over the phone between all three of us. With me i feel like im in the middle between my sisters and between my sister Rose and my dad. Should i support my dad's relationship even though i dont like her? Then should i reconcile with my sister Michelle who has been rude when it comes to our feelings? How can I prove that I can afford to make my car payment in an upcoming reaffirmation agreement hearing?

I filed for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy in Michigan. The only secured debt that I have is a car loan which I signed a reaffirmation agreement for. Now I have to go to court to prove that I will be able to afford my car payments. My question is how do I prove I can make my payment to the judge? My parents live with me and my mother was my co-signer for the loan. She plans on going and telling the judge that if I can't make my payments she will do it. She doesn't have a very large income though so I am not sure how much of an impact that will have. I really can afford the payments myself but the way they figure expenses for basic things like food and clothing differ from the way I budget. I spend much less than other people apparently. I don't understand the concept of marrying somebody after your partner dies?

If I was really in love with a girl and we got married, I probably wouldn't even look for another person to be with if she dies. It just seems wrong and unethical. However, based on what I see on TV and just observation in general, it is considered as "moving on". That life goes on and generally what should be done especially when one's partner dies at such a young age. Why is that? Does that mean that you never loved your other partner before to be forgotten just like that? I mean, it's one thing to constantly mourn about the dead. But marrying another?
